Well Lit-Greg Speich

A well lit lamp stand makes for a fully lit house.

Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Jesus is the light of the world.  We are to be reflectors of His light.

We need to put the light on a lamp stand and not hide it under a bushel.

The house is dark, without light…the house is the world.  The Church of Jesus is the lamp stand.  When we let the light of the Gospel shine forth, lives are changed by the Power of the Holy Spirit.  People will be saved, healed and delivered from the darkness of sin.

Secrets to a Healthy Life and how to Succeed and Experience Favor

Pastor Gene Speich-Sunday 6/2/13

1.  Sense of Purpose & Vision:  Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth…”  Being meek is the opposite of doing your own thing.  The promise is that the meek will have favor and be blessed.  Focus on the Lord and what His purpose and will is for your life.  The key is to be submissive to God’s plan and purpose.    What is God’s purpose for you?

2.  Excellence:  Colossians 3:23 “and whatever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord, and not unto men.”  We must work as though Christ were our employer.  There is a reward.  We need a standard and goal (Paul pressed toward the mark.)  Be the best in your assignment and purpose.  Don’t get sidetracked into other things.  There is a battle to fight and a price to pay.  It will not come easy. Rivers of Living Water

“ ….If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” John 7:37

The weight of God's glory is more than we can contain. God is waiting to shower down on His children streams of living water.

If you want to live in His glory consider these words of Jesus.

Jesus instructs us to:

1. Thirst– thirst is a symptom of wanting more.

2. Come unto me – Jesus is the only true source.

(not the latest book, CD,DVD, evangelist, church).

3. Drink – drink is the supply, and what God

supplies is endless. You can have all you want.

Conclusion: when we thirst, come unto him , and drink then out of our belly (innermost being) shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38).
