Bethel World Prayer Center is a result of a vision God gave to Maxine Speich [Co - Founder].

In the Fall of 1994 Pastor Gene & Maxine Speich attended the World Prayer Congress hosted by the Yoido Full Gospel Church [Pastor David Yungi Cho] in Seoul, South Korea.

At this World Prayer Congress more than 1 million intercessors from all over the world gathered to pray. Maxine was moved by the experience as she saw a multitude of people crying out to God.

She asked God why Columbus, Ohio could not have such a prayer center. God’s response to her was that he would make such a prayer center possible in Columbus, Ohio, then he gave to her how he wanted her to proceed.

He told her the prayer center was to be a 24/7 prayer ministry fashioned after the biblical city of Jerusalem. It is to have a Temple with an Upper Room, Garden of Gethsemane, Sea of Galilee with a Faith Walk and a Western Wall

In the Fall of 2009 the planning began to start Bethel World Prayer Center. In January 2010, after concluding 41 years as senior pastor of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church in Gahanna Ohio [suburb of Columbus] Pastor Gene and Maxine Speich began to put all their energy towards seeing God’s promise fulfilled.

Bethel World Prayer Center today has a Prayer Room that is open from 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday. It conducts a weekly Prayer Meeting and Prayer Service. It has a world - wide following on the web and receives prayer requests and testimonies 24/7.

In the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin Birth, in His Sinless Life, in His Miracles, in His Vicarious and atoning Death, in His Bodily Resurrection, in His ascension to the Right Hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this Earth in Power and Glory to rule for a thousand years. (1 John 1:1-4, Ephesians 2:13-18, Revelation chapters 19-20.)

In the Blessed Hope - the Rapture of the Church at Christ's Coming. (1 Thessalonian's 4:13-18)

The only means of being cleansed from sin is through Repentance and Faith in the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-9)

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal Salvation. (John 3:5-8, Titus 3:5)

The Redemptive Work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. (Exodus 15:25-26, James 5:14-15, 1 Peter 2:24)

The Baptism with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to the Believers who ask for it.  (Acts 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:1-7)

In the Resurrection of both the saved and lost. One to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (Revelation 20:5-6, 11:-15)
